Im tempted.

I got the "cafe racer" thing out of my system with my first bike. These days I like to keep my bikes stock. But I saw this bike for sale (the yellow 900) and it got me thinking. Maybe I should paint my 77 a different color. Any suggestions?

Personally I love it........ Painted my spare body set yellow for a while but went back to the stock blue as they need touching up and a good clear coating...... always planned on a yellow 57 Chevy like Project X but I would need to hit the lotto now.

1978 KZ650 b-2
700cc Wiseco kit 10 to 1.
1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

Seriously, if the original paint is in good shape I would not recommend painting it. Instead, you might want to buy a second set of tins and paint them. That way you could switch back if you like or get a better price for the bike one day if you sell it. Good original paint is becoming quite rare. Ed

Funny you should mention...

I located ALL of the parts i need, tank, trim and rear fairing, for about $250 total. AND, I think im going to paint the bike BLACK. with just a bit of metal flake / mother of pearl..
