Awesome pics kaw-a-holic, Nice gear too
Those jeans look good.
Looks like the bike will be here in under 2 weeks...getting excited.
Lots of riders on the hwy today I just pulled the truck into my driveway , I live on the HWY so I can see them and hear them as well)
I'll check out those links too Pete, thanks buddy.

Wow, good thing the helmet was actually on.
I could never ride without one if I lived in a place that it wasn't law

Yea, hard to believe the helmet looked so good after the crash. It took quite a blow.
There's also no denying that all his other gear (jacket, pants, gloves) did their part too. He's a lucky dude!
Here's before and after pics of his bike, roughly 2 hours apart:
And if at all interested, here's video of the actual crash:

Damn.
That little guy came out so fast he didn't have time to do a thing.
We have some big dear, a few elk and the odd black bear here. But the biggest issue for sure is the massive ditches on both sides of the hwy here on the Coast and such. I've been down 6 times over the years on roadbikes.
3 on the 2 stroke racebike and all low sides.
The worst was a little oil patch and then a nice snappy little high side on my Nice Honda 750F. I landed straight down on both knees and couldn't walk for a few days. Full leathers on all these events. Bike was $1000 damage.
One was weird, the front just washed out and let go. No warning, no oil. I walked right back to look on the road but nothing. Perfectly dry.
No gravel. Good air in the tires. That's the worse. Not knowing what I did wrong.
Most embarasing? merging onto a hwy. One knee on the road, full acceleration coming out and looking back to merge as my wheels touched the inside curbing. So it was a 60 mile an hour bum skid on the sidewalk as my bike slid along the gutter beside me. All this time the BMW on the HWY saw the whole event in his right side window. I was fine but wore my wrists though the gloves right away.
Rode home in pain and felt like an idiot.
And finally, my much better race buddy trying to loose me on Sunday morning practice, jammed on the brakes to turn quick right and I crashed right into the back of him.
Split my runner in 2 and broke my foot. I still have that stupid scar. These were all about 25 years ago though. So a little crazy still.
This big Kawasaki is going to feel like a big houseboat after that 2 stroke. But that's ok, it's a damn good looking houseboat.
And I will ride like one should. Sensibly.

Ok Dave, thank you,
Here's an oldie, I just scanned from old film camera stuff.
Skinny little punk in leathers. (Those leathers actually raced at Daytona. I bought then used)
And my nice big bore Blue bike I built up and modified. She was a sweetie. We went everywhere.
He's me now at 50 so you guys know who you're talking to.
Thanks
