Old post of new bike w/ KZ bodywork
13 Apr 2016 09:19
Does anybody here remember seeing a post, maybe over a year ago, about a newer motorcycle with the KZ bodywork on it? I can't for the life of me find it on the forum or the google machine.

If its the one Im thinking of,it was a one off build by a Japanese designer for Kawasakis 30 anniversary.Though, there is also a company in Germany ( i think) offering old syle body kits for modern ZXWhatevers.
Thats all Ive got.

Here you go.These are the people selling the body kits

As for the 30th anniversary one,I have photos somewhere but I cant find them.I lost a lot of stuff last year when my flaptop crashed, they were probably on that.

Hint....check my link. It was an Italian design firm that commemorated the 40th anniversary of the Z1 by modding a new Z1000.

Awesome! Thanks alot yall. I was thinking of the deals and wheels website, that zrx one is sweet as well.
A little off topic note, I was out riding yesterday and my left hand side panel flew off! I didn't notice until I filled up at a gas station 20 miles later, so I flipped around and went searching. Luckily I found it but it's all scuffed up, broken, and the top right tab is busted off. Going to have to try and find a green left side KZ900 side cover now.

There are repro side covers available or you can fix yours with fiberglass. I've done it but next time Ill use ABS glue instead of the resin.

14 Apr 2016 09:49Feel ya, same thing happened to me last fall. Found a replacement but I'm going to use KZ750E panels instead. They're easier to find and cheaper.Bama704 wrote: Awesome! Thanks alot yall. I was thinking of the deals and wheels website, that zrx one is sweet as well.

Re: Old post of new bike w/ KZ bodywork
14 Apr 2016 09:50Another option (likely more difficult to access)
Rumor has it that pods may allow more air pressure underneath the side covers while riding, and thereby make the covers more apt to come loose, especially if the grommets are worn.
Good Fortune!
