Jeff won't sell junk. maybe he just can't get good parts.

A few years ago I converted to Chevrolet points on my KZ900. I bought them on ebay and it was an easy conversion, but I don't remember anything else about it.
I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.

^^THAT^^

Jeff's told us many times that they have received items, inspected them and returned them to the supplier because they didn't meet Z1 Enterprise's expectations for quality. We'd believe that points availability will once again happen when a suitable wholesaler is found.

Hadn't thought of those Chevy points conversions for years. Seems like the points were riveted to the backplate? We remember seeing them many years ago and not seeing the, er... point  .

Good seeing ya' here, toolmaker :) .

Yeah Slimjim, I lurk here pretty much every day but have little to contribute. It's good to be seen :woohoo:

I have spent WAY more shekels than my bike is worth with Z1E...I called their "phone sales" department a couple weeks ago, spent about 15 minutes on the phone with Rob, only to be informed that they no longer accept phone orders! He could not tell me why, but, as a grumpy old fart that appreciates the "human touch" I was bummed! I spent over $900 on ONE order (speaking directly with Jeff S.) and would prefer that it had stayed that way...I can order online with feebay...Sheesh! LOL!

I have 2 points to make:

1) stop emailing legit businesses and pick up the bleeping phone!

2)we have 40+ y/o bikes, you're bound to do some searching/waiting for parts. Don't like it? Buy something new.
