LOL!! By the sound of that engine and my lifetime experience with 900's and the KZ1000, I think your speedo is off and in 4th to 5th, you are easily hitting +105 mph!! Ha ha

That's possible but bare in mind I"m at 16/35. I have to drop down into 2nd to get into my power band. The exhaust is too loud also. Not fun anymore.

I agree. You don't know his riding abilities and he's putting you & your bike in jeopardy without your consent

High winds today. At least I wasn't the only one out there. They said 9 mph winds. More like 35-40 with gusts of much more. Where can anyone else get a job being wrong and not get fired?

Yea I know... back in the mid-80 I was on a Yamadog in Vegas, had cross winds a few times where I couldn't go above @25. Almost got blown off the road a few times there. Know the feeling!

These are mild compared to the 80+ we can get. Palm drive going over the FWY was the worst. Leaning over against the wind, the hit then bridge and the bike swings over the other way in an instant. If you're not ready for it, it will slam you to the ground.

Try adding a swarm of wasps directly in your path on a so called "highway" which was dirt and full of pot holes with cross winds as well and road trains coming the other way and then into a hail storm later on. That was a fun day ... a long time ago

The general public don't realize what kind of intrepid travelers we bike riders really are. It's not just fun, it's an adventure. :woohoo:

A friend had some wood chips put down because of the rocks. I'd rather have rocks. Feels like riding in mush. Hitting the HWY on a grade is a good way to judge how she's pulling. :)

This guy passed me about 1/2 mile back crossing the double yellow line. I was at 60/65. There's only two passing areas coming up but I decided to hang back to see what this guy would do. Then he belched his diesel fart at me so I couldn't help myself. The bike starts to feel light after that speed so I backed off. I need to get that swing arm on the bike ASAP
