Couldn't beat the Can Am Series, or as we called it, The Bruce And Denny Show for insane race cars. The Chaparrals, the McLarens, and the Porsche Turbo 917/30's. Those were the days!!! After Bruce got killed Gurney took over his seat in the McLaren until the big deal over the Castrol patch.
WE share a lot of common ground Doc

Dave,
I highly recommend you get the book, Can Am 50th Anniversary: Flat Out with North America's Greatest Race Series 1966-1974 by George Levy. The photography is just plain brilliant!!!!! Many photos you have never seen before.
I forgot all about the AVS Shadow MK I. Its a fricking GoKart with a big block Chevy in the back!!!!

Bruce and Denny are two of my racing heros. I have a CD that is the total history of Can Am racing. I crank up the volume and get into the zone. For a nice Blue I always loved the Sunoco cars . Lolas, and McClarens driven by Mark Donahue. Oh Ya !!!!!!

WEll how about a total change for our BOTM
How about a CHIPS Bike restored and owned by KAWABoy in Latvia
This bike came from Hollywood California and was used in a movie called Sin City with Bruce Willis
Made its way to Holland where it was neglected and then sent to Latvia where it was brought back to its original glory.
Quite a trip eh ?
Ponch would be proud to ride this Police special
More tomorrow , so for tonite just enjoy this bad boy and be glad the bike isnt pulling you over LOL

Congratulations, your is a very nice Police bike.
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.
