That would be the common rattle of the RS slides at idle. Some folks can't stand it. doesn't bother me at all.

I never knew the RS carbs were that noisy but that top end power was music to my ears. Can I ask what you were revving to and was there more in reserve?
I forgot to add, it looks like you trimmed a fair bit of weight off this bike, has it been weighted?
First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, 1983 fully recon motor fitted LOVE THIS BIKE
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as FJ above)

The run after I left the neighborhood and caught up to the car I hit 78MPH. I shift at about 7K, there is more give. Without cars in the way I had hit 110-115 before I have to hit the brakes for the dog-leg. As for weight I have not had a chance to do so. I need to see if the dump will left me put it on their scale. I am more excited about getting it on the dyno. I have 1/2 to 3/4 throttle flat spots. It is running great a bit rich. Right now I have the Andrews 1X cams in it. I am not sure I evendors want to try and put the 110° Webcams back in.

Yeah, that's gonna be hard I think. Have you done drastic headwork? Running 34's right? Kind of the reason that I ran 31 CR's I think think 34's may be too much carb for a street bike. I dunno but from people who have complained about there's. Pete said the same thing. I'm running the .410 cams. Seem to be nice. I will let you know about how they are with the 31's.

I ported and blended the heads, intake and exhaust. Exhaust is smooth all the way around, intake is polished top half and rough bottom half to help with atomization of the air fuel mixture. The needle are a very aggressive taper but I can get a smaller emulsion tube. A bit of research and I may be able to find a less aggressive needle taper.

I have to agree with you but the ones in it are the leanest for the RS34's listed by Suduco. I will have to do some research and see what I can come up with. The tapper is very aggressive.

This was how I purchased it for $300. It was a steal, felt bad for the guy, his wife made him put it up for sale on Craigslist.
