I've got an 90 Connie, and also the 82 LTD like you.
There are two real good forums for the Connie, ZG/GTR is the one I signed up for. Free just like KZR.
I use the Concours for the long rides in the back roads, when we go for like 4 days at a time. Otherwise I ride the KZ, also on long trips I guess. I like the KZ better for the most part. But the Concours is of course much smoother and refined. I had an indicated buck and a quarter before redline in 5th. That de-tuned ZX motor will Run!! But Get the 7.3 gallon tank full though, and it becomes the Tank-Cours/ Heavy pig!!

I bought a '99 Connie with 18,000 miles on it. With the tank full she is a top heavy beast to schlep around the driveway or a parking lot but I can't believe how nimble, smooth and powerful the bike is on the backroads around here. I can't wait for the ride down to Americade in Lake George, New York next week. Anyone else going?

Are those mini-lights under your headlight LED's? Do you run a stock headlight or the Napa 80/100?
BTW, nice bike! I'll put some pictures up of mine if it ever stops raining here.

I tried the NAPA bulb, improvement . Then I bought an automotive HID kit and installed it. That baby lights up the road!

Not HID/LED, normal bladed/wedged bulb.... Was on the bike when I picked up...

Stock head light, I don't like driving at night too much here, Kamikaze coyotes can make a bad night drive....
Same time, possibly HID in the future would change my night driving desires....

I enjoy an evening ride now and then. The HID along with driving lights set to shine eyes in the ditches make it a lot more pleasurable.
