Hey just got really interested in this and would love to be a part of this in Indiana. It is going from south to north right. starting in Vincennes. I live in Shelbyville and could meet somewhere south and ride along with you guys.Vincennes is to far but you have to go through my area to get to Ft. Wayne. When you get an exact route figured out let me know.
Thanx

boy i was all turned around backwards. i thought the flag was getting shipped down to the south then coming north.
I havent read all the 500 pages i guess. im a new comer to this thread. it looks like the flag is coming right through my area.So i need to get a hold of koolaid kid and tag along somehow with him through the central Indiana leg.

I can meet up with you and you can take it to KoolAid Kid/Les Holt or the two/three of you can ride to meet me at some point in Indiana for the hand off.
PM me your contact info and I'll get things set up on the map too. I still have to add a couple more riders too. I'll do that when it gets a little further along in Canada, plus I hope to get verification from all riders in Leg#2 here in the States that they are still in and able to ride.

Just touching base - Les Holt, you may have to take my part in this rally. The GPz is currently down with what appears to be carb related issues. Both myself and Brian Wringer have been working on it every night and brainstorming also, but to no avail at this time. Basically, we can't figure out what is wrong so we can't fix it. I have rebuilt the carbs twice, all new o-rings, Berryman's carb dip, the whole shooting match, and it is just not running right. In fact, at times downright dangerous. We spoke this evening and I have some more things to try.
Damm. I will continue to work on this damm thing every night and all this weekend; I really want to participate but I just wanted to let you know. And you also, Jim, just so there is backup in place in case I can't ride.
My cell phone is 317-345-1193 if you want to talk.

Not what we want to here man, Keep the faith! I can take on the extra but would rather see you get to participate. It looks like you have time to get it lined out so be a little patient.

Trust me, it is not what I want to post, either. Just laying a little ground work. I will still plan to go right up to the last minute. Been waiting for this for too long.
I am a skilled mechanic in my own right with an excellent auto shop in my garage, and Brian is the best motorcycle mechanic I have ever seen, bar none, with a bike shop to match. But at this point it has us stumped.
Like I said, we had another brainstorming session tonight, and I am going to try as much as possible as soon as possible. Brian also has a trailer, but his wife is borrowing it for a week so I can't even take it over to his house at this time.
The most likely scenario is that he will spend most of the weekend over here and we try everything under the sun. (He won't mind, as I am also a pretty decent cook and he seldom gets a home-cooked meal.) It appears to be heat related, but I will dig into the ignition and the cams/valve clearances tomorrow night, as well as possible cooling issues. The bike is highly modified, (810 kit, milled head, Degreed cams, Accel coils, Kerker, DynaJet, K&N pods, etc.) but ran just dandy last fall when I rode it to Ohio and back. We have eliminated the obvious, so now we are digging into the not-so-obvious.
Fortunately it is cooler at night, and my neighbors can't complain about the noise since they sometimes have loud parties on the weekends.

It's on the move in Canada and if it keeps up this pace it won't be there very long!
I will update [strike]the map[/strike] again but I'll leave Koolaid Kid in the route as he probably has plenty of time to work it out.
Edit: Google Chrome and Google Maps are misbehaving (who-da-thunk-it!) so I will just be making a who to who list. If you need to check the map then click the map below. If you are on it then you are in it, if not either put your marker on there or contact me to put it on for you.
