Thanks Patton!
Andy, when are you and Wiggens going to meet?
The problem for Bull is that he leaves a week from today on his trip for 3 weeks. If the flag could get to Wiggens right away and Bull could get to Wiggens prior to his trip then maybe he could get it to Hypnohio before or on his way. It would appear we don't have Cobura to fall back on either.
I'm trying to be sure everyone that wants to do this can participate but I know a 3 week delay is pretty big for any chance that the flag will get very far in leg#3 before serious cold and snow stop it for the winter pretty much.
I need to get a feedback from you 3 on this and also how the rest of the relayers here out feel about the potential delay. I'm staying neutral on it as I'm the one coordinating this leg and don't want to come off as expecting it my way as an organizer, so please put in your comments.

I'm meeting Andy tomorrow afternoon to get the flag and would like to keep the flag moving as fast as possible. I have really enjoyed knowing that people are working hard to move the flag quickly. I also know that life happens and there are going to be some delays. If possible, I would like not to be one of those delays. I am potentially able to do a mid week run before Bull leaves town for his trip, but that depends on where/when I can meet up with him.
Bull, is a mid week ride a possibility for you before you go on your trip? If it is can you please PM me and we'll hash out details.

Wow, I really don't think I would be able to do a mid-week, as much as I would like to zing off the flag to keep it booking along.
This week I have four and a half day's (leaving after work on Friday) to get everything in order, bills paid, family matters put in order, WORK (and I don't have a job that I can promise to walk out after 8 hours, might have to stay till problems are fixed), etc. Basically life.....
I can't meet him on the way or on way back from trip, even though I am going right by Wiggens, as I'm not using one of my old bikes on a 3,500 mile trip, but my new, lazy boy Kaw Nomad with trailer. Just a TAD bit more comfortable.
Wiggens and I are pm'ing each other, and trying to work out some type of plans. I may cut my trip short, due to something popping up at home or work, then we could move it right along. I've also been in touch with Hypnohio.
I really apologize, I wish I didn't have this big cycle trip planned already. If I had known about this forum and flag moving before I joined two weeks ago, I surely would have made different plans for my cycle trip.

At the risk of sounding like a dick, that's almost a month of having the flag sit with Winter coming on and a lot of folks still itching to ride with it this year.
Sorry but I'm just saying

If you could take the flag to a mutually agreeable Kawasaki shop or other safe place before your trip, could Wiggens or Hypnohio pick it up there? Ed

I have to bring something up that I didn't want to have to do until it was fully confirmed but I have been having some personal health issues that recent testing has pointed to a pretty rare and serious condition. Not going to go into the details here on an open forum but though I'm able to deal with it now well enough to ride, I don't know what I'll be like after the 6th of September when they might do a biopsy. I hope to have more info as this week progresses.
That all said, I hope everyone can work this out on getting it through and hopefully I can still participate. I'll update this if my situation changes and I can't ride any more.

I could pick up the flag somewhere in the Wheeling area if there's a Kawi dealership there. Getting all the way to Cincinnati is another issue, however. I was going to meet Rage in Chillicothe, but going to Cincinnati is a 5 hour ride minimum for me. Teaching school and riding a 440 makes that a bit much.

Thanks guys, I hope to be like Mark Twain "The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated."
I feel quite good right now so hopefully I can do this... I fully plan on it! I tend to do things that my wife and doctors don't feel I should so soon after some procedure or while I've still had something bad going on in the past, this time is no different!
I've probably cursed myself with it but my favorite saying is "I'd rather die on my bike or in the arms of a beautiful woman than spend the rest of my days in a extended care facility!" Kinda hoping for the beautiful woman a bit more than doing a Flying Finnegan off of some curvy road over a cliff!
EDIT: Of course I mean my lovely wife as the beautiful woman!
