Book Recommendations

I’m looking for reference books on Vintage or Classic motorcycles for American, Japanese, and British bikes mainly postwar. Something that would cover model years and the changes from year to year. I have found nothing locally and with the price of books today I hate to order on-line sight unseen. Any recommendations ? Thanks
