Snowballed.......
28 Dec 2010 13:34
I set out this winter to fix what I thought was a base gasket leak and have gotten up to about $4800 on what has turned in to a total rebuild. Can you say "out of control"? Does anybody else have this problem? It started with I'll go ahead and have the head done while it's off, then came well I should probably get the crank cleaned up and welded, now I have to buy all new gaskets, might as well get the cases blasted, shit I need new paint, man now I need new powdercoat, that chrome looks kinda lousy next to that new paint and powder, really should put new wheel and steering bearings in, should probably fix that ratty wiring, replace those old cables, I think I need some new RS34's so it will run better, gotta have a new seat made. I think I may need to sell a kidney soon.:woohoo:

I figured as much. If you count the $2800 I paid for the bike in July I could have bought a nice ZX10. But then I would have looked like every other non hardly on the road. The KZ got lots of looks and compliments before this started, and I can't wait to see the reaction it gets when done. I will try to take pictures of it going back together but I can make no promises as I tend to get tunnel vision when I'm working. I will definitely have a finished pic or two though and the avatar is what it looked like two weeks ago.

I have the disease so bad that I already lined up my next fix before I finished the current one. Why won't my arm quit itching. I need to go ask Alice.
