An old friend of mine from England told me about the green bike superstition. I also heard white bikes are cursed too.
Me? I have my own superstitions. For one, I never ever get on my bike from the right side. If I'm racing and go down, sometimes I may have to take extra time maneuvering to the left side. If I HAVE to get on from the right, I get off and get back on from the left.
I don't let anyone touch my throttles either. I'll smack their hands if they get close to my bars.

I've been around motorcycles since 1969 and this is the first I've ever heard of the green superstition. Must have been a local fable.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

I know a couple people who won't get on their bike from the right side either.
Never heard about other people touching the throttle though. What is that based on ?

That's funny.
When I paint cars or bikes, people always want to touch what I'm working on.
I made a sign for my shop that says "keep your finger in your pocket"

Never heard any such nonsense, but then I've never heard of any motorcycle curses or such around these parts. There does seem to be a Legend that remains true.

I don't get it. Should we all ride like pussies?
