riding accross the pacific ocean

So I've decided to come back to the U.S. from japan. Totally homesick and tired of all the crap over here. Next week, the KZ is getting crated up and packed away in a shipping container. Totally worried about customs. I've done a lot of research, but still don't have much info.

I'm also sneaking my engineless GSX Katana on board as well! When I get it home, it will be my new project, might be the only gsx250s katana to ever come stateside.

Seems so strange to be leaving, but Im also so glad to be leaving. Living in a foreign country for a few years really makes you appreciate all of the freedoms and luxuries of living in america. First thing I'm doing when i get home:

1. go shooting
2. drink some GOOD beer
3. eat pizza
4. take my first trip to the west coast
5. sit on an actual sofa
6. sleep in an actual bed

just wanted to share my thoughts. cant wait to get home

Don't forget, you won't be the tallest one in the room anymore either.

Where in the states are you headed? SCOTUS just incorporated the Second Amendment over here.

Just curious, how did you initially get to Japan. I ask because my wife has been wanting to teach in the Asia's for a while.

I was stationed in Iwakuni for two seven month tours. The nice part about being on a US military installation is that it is always like a little Island of America.

Many people who want to teach english apply online to one of the big companies such as Nova, Geos, ECC, etc. As for me, i kinda just showed up and started job hunting when i got here. Teaching english sucks though, unless if you really like kids.

I am headed to Pennsylvania, my hometown. What do you mean by the second amendment? Good thing or bad thing for gun owners?

Also, i can say that i wont miss japan very much. There is a great selection of amazing parts, but you will always pay about 700% more than you should. Prices are ridiculous. I was looking for a new stem for my Z. Couldn't find one for less than $1,000!!!
