i don't think those are the rare $ 29's but they are good mikunis of a later than z-1...kz..ltd ect....does the bike run good...i think the front forks and rear swingarm and both wheels and brakes are from a 1978 ltd 1000...or real close...they are a good solid set for sure....the mototr sure looks like a 74-75 z-1

it pulls hard!had some prob. with rear calipher locking down but after cleaning and new line, it fixed. it get approx 200miles on tank if you putt,or 140 if you run it. it going to be in 60's tomorrow,plain on ride to work to fix gas pedals on yoyos.

All of the 900 cranks were several pounds lighter including the KZ. The 1000 cranks were heavier. The KZ900 had a sturdier frame, better carburetion, and was an all around better ride than a Z1, but is not quite as nice looking IMHO.

Agreed - my crank looks identical to a Z1 crank (from my perspective). Those carbs look like the VM26 Mikunis that came on the Kz900 and the Kz1000 (not sure if there were subtle changes during the model years or not).

Those are not smoothbores. The mags are stock LTD's. You would have a drum rear brake. The side covers are Z1 and I believe 75 would have only 1 front disc...Russ

However its a great looking bike. As I myself am partial to the KZ. How about some more pictures and one of the speedometer cluster.

The speedometer cluster is not from a KZ its from a Z1. Got a picture of the frame tag?...Russ
