Hi Guys, I'm looking to buy a Kaw 454 that I think the starter clutch is slipping. This is what the owner says. She said it needs a starter chain link. I think someone gave her some bull. I can't find out because the battery is toast. Do I have to split the case to replace the starter clutch or is it like our KZs? I don't have much time to decide because I look at it this evening and have to make a decision to buy it or not. Is it worth the $450 to get it and have to tear it apart or not? It's got 9000 miles on it. Is anyone familiar with the 454 problem? I'll be waiting for an answer whether good or bad. Thanks, Bob U.
