The only thing I dislike about working on my bike is that it means I'm not riding it!

I hate that it brings out the serious side of me. I want full focus and hasle free interuptions. No matter where I go, the back of my mind, I am thinking about motors. Pretty much the rest of the world is wasting my time. Bikes are the only thing in my life, that I set very high standards and expectations. The rest of my life I don't care if I'm an average joe or go unnoticed. Everything is real simple for me, I know right from wrong. Now add motorcycles to the mix and I just don't understand. I work, think and act, while everyone else is stuck in front of the TV. I like projects that when I finish them, I can stand back, and look at what I have accoplished. The smallest things can be big accomplishments. Sometimes I say, next time I'm going to do this or that. I am still amazed (hate) at some of the stuff people do to motorcycles. Some should never touch a wrench or tool of any kind. They "fix" it in five minutes and it takes you two days to "fix" it right. I always tell myself, once it's "fixed" it will be good for years. My Mother was the first to teach me, a good repair is factory new or better. I was hoping she would of tot me, something good about girls.
Everything I have ever learned about motorcycles, I had to struggle, fight, claw or ask to get. No one just drilled a hole in the back of my head and filled it with information. I know that it is me with the problem, not everyone else. So if the whole world would "hurryup" and change, I'll be okay............

I think trouble-shooting electrical. The rest is fairly fun, albiet sometimes time consuming. I'll spend many hours going through a set of carbs, but 10 minutes on a short and I'm ready to pour on the gas and grab a match.

Its a challenge for me I'm kinda like plummen if things go wrong I just do something else and think of a better way.
Its all about being a hobby that I enjoy I don't want it to be work.
Now at work I can come up with all kinds of things I hate

After 35 years of Tank mechanics, Auto mechanics, Truck mechanics, Ag mechanics and Heavy equip/Diesel, They're really kinda like a lawn mower except no blade to sharpen. Shoot you can have the whole thing scattered in about an hour.
