how come everyone wants to do violence to the big guys......when i used to drink..i'd walk in a bar and there was allways some guy that looked like a ten point buck just walked into his gunsights.......
and i'm only 6'6" and 3/4 so no swinging fork tubes at me guys.......
when and "if" i ever got in a fight...i would be thinking "don't hurt this guy bad and end up in prison" and they would be thinking"where the heck can i find an iron pipe to kill this sasquatch...and get a reward or medal or somthing".....hahahahahaahaah
plus i have learned the hard way that anyone who can fight a guy thats 6'7" 285 on a diet...is someone i want to be far away from when they get drinkling.....:woohoo:

A&E id a special on Andre the Giant, was pretty cool with considerable interviews with his family and childhood friends in France.
Turned out, he was a really nice guy with a bad situation (health reasons). Same time, he made the most of it and was he he was....
Sad in some ways though....

Believe me, many comments have been made over the years regarding modifications. Some members have left this site because of it. I, for one, completely understand modifying a bike to improve handling and performance and even utility. The modifications to the bike in question in this thread do nothing of the sort.
Exhibiting a disturbing fascination with leather fringe and forcing a bird catching riding posture is grounds enough for me to dismiss it without prejudice . Sure, people are free to mod their machines however they wish, just don't expect me to conform with the crowd of sheeple oohing and aahing over it.
Heck, why didn't he paint pink ponies on it while he was at it?
I'll be the first to admit it's not my cup o' tea.
You and me.
However, I've read a lot of comments here on the virtues of customizing bikes so they don't look like everyone or anyone else's. I've seen some crude attempts at making cafes, bobbers, choppers, dragbikes, etc. that look worse in their execution than this pathetic icon of poor taste, but no one beat up the owners for ruining a bike that could have been restored.
