With Rose and I recently moving, her upcoming shoulder surgery and tons of other crap going on, I've been MIA from KZr for what seems like forever!
Her surgery to re-attach the torn ligaments (or was it tendons?) is scheduled for the 27th, and she'll be staying with her friend Marta (who will be taking her to/from the Hospital) for a few days afterwards.
So it's looking like I should have some "free time" on the 25th to be able to go.

My 650 is currently "non-op'd" since it's in dire need of a complete overhaul, so I'll be ridin' my Katana again.
The Kat isn't as nimble in the twisties as my 650 is, but in the straight-aways I'll have to keep looking in my mirrors to make sure I don't lose any of you guys.
See you guys Saturday!

Re: Let's do another So Cal ride

Well sorry guys but I'm out for a while. My #2 cylinder started acting up the other day not firing at idle. I went through the carbs and still no go at idle. So today at lunch I checked my valve clearance and #2 exhaust was tight. It turned out that the valve keepers had almost worked out. So I get that fixed and I'm scraping my old head gasket off and I see that the wrist pin clip on my #2 cylinder has come off and gouged the hell out of the cylinder.
So I'll be putting it back to a 650 with a set of pistons and cylinders and have it going in a week or two. So you guys have fun without me. You can't believe how bummed out I an right now. See you guys next time.

Mark

Bad news, Mark.
You'll have it fixed in no time, and we'll see you on the next ride. The way the weather's holding, it may be warm till Christmas (maybe I owe Al Gore an apology).
BTW, I've still got some Voyager parts that need a repaint. I'll have to get off my lazy bum and get them down to you one of these weekends.
