Did the rickman kawasaki's use GS 1100 swingarms? Kinda looks like it

No I do not think it used a GS 1100 swing. it appears to be an excentic cam type unit, but with the adjustment at the main swing arm pivot.
My ZRX 1200 has excentic cam adjustment at the rear axle.

Wow! That is one sweet as machine. The frame looks like chromoly? Or something nice and light. I wish I could find something like that in my neighborhood for sale. I wish you luck on your acquiring this beautiful piece of workmanship.:cheer:

IIRC, two things make a real Rickman framed bike stand out:

1) the nickel plated frame (not "chrome plated", please)
2) the eccentrically mounted swingarm pivot method of chain adjustment

These two features were very avant-garde for their day and were considered the Rickman brothers "trademarks", if you will.
KZ650C2 Stock/mint. Goes by "Ace".
H2A Built from a genuine basket case. Yes,it's a hot rod.
GT550A Stock/mint. Pleasant stroker.
2006 Bandit 1200S for easy LD rapid transit
Various H2 projects in the wings.

I would think Chromoly which is not necessarily chrome plated would be stronger and much lighter. Nickel plating sounds like it would make the frame heavier.
Oh well, still looks SuhWeet. The swingarm is a definite improvement on the machine.

Back in the day (mid 70s - mid 80s) the Rickman brothers used nickel plated Reynolds 531 steel tubing and they hand-braized the weld points and paid strict attention to traditional Japanese frame weak points and addressed this with appropriate bracing.

Rickmans give me mental 'wood'.
