So as long as you let it set straight up for a little bit before cranking it over it should be no big deal then eh?
I was thinking it wouldn't dry things out. He was pretty damn sure he was right and won't pay me my $20 for the bet though. He wants some damn scientist or something to say for sure.
Guess i'll need to find a Professor of Cyclenomics or something.

The only problem I have ever seen has nothing to do
with the seals.

It's the left side carb. It always gums up first.
Like to guess were all the old gas go's when left to long
on the side stand?

To me the center stand is for chain maintainance and when I have the bike sitting over winter to prevent the tires from getting flat spots

I think most people on here find a deal on a bike that has been laying on it's side for 15 year in someones garage. Change the oil, clean the carbs and they fire right up. :P

Don't worry about it. I put a piece of 2x4 under the kickstand so the bike sits more upright in the garage. It is a PITA to put these bikes on the centerstand. I only do it for maintenance reasons. The only time my bike is running is when I am sitting on it so it is upright....chris3

I know it would not be any fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

If I left a bike for years sitting, I'd fill the crankscase right full to the top with oil.
