I think the first part of this thread is missing.

ahh, now it makes sense
Do all Z's come from uncles? One of my uncles was the second owner of my KZ650, another uncle the third, and I'm the fourth. I hope if I have a son it'll be his someday. I've contemplated selling it over the years (I've only owned it for 5 years, since senior year in high school), but I can't seem to bring myself to get rid of something worth so much to me and so little to most other people. She's sat around a long time, I've only managed to put around 5000km on her, but in Sept all of this will change, I'll finally have enough cash to bring her back to life in a way that'll last for many years.

Awsome story about the old Kaw, it had the three things I always like in a scooter story, 1. an old bike rising from the ashes, 2. a KZ, and 3. you mentioned Bultacos. That really made my day thank you.

That story sure made me think of many things way back in the day. I was a young pup of just 12 years old back in 71 when I got my first job working at the local Kawasaki dealer. 37 years later I still love the brand.
