I hear you! There are so many deer here they create a SERIOUS driving hazard even during the day. The most annoying thing is I drive past 50 of them when I'm going to WV to hunt because you can't hunt where I live! Ed

I have a car that has traveled many miles at a speed exceeding 550 mph. I know that sounds like BS, but it is true, and I can prove it. Ed

Got A few stories myself but one really sticks in my mind.
My brothers an I were workin at the shop on a cat tractor and we hear an open header kz650 comin down the road a few miles back. He lets up at our place, it was a friend of ours, when I looked up as he's pullin in the drive i see a highway patrol comin in behind him. He comes drivin in oblivious to the cop behind him. we are wavin for him to keep going. he stops gets off his bike and looks up and says what are you wavin for? I pointed behind him (if got off the bike the other way he would have stuck his foot in the drivers window of the cop car) When he turned and saw all that black and white he turned white.
The cop says it depends how honest you are if I'm gonna give you a ticket or not. How fast were you going, my buddy says 115 and the cop let him go.
The cop knew us well he wrote us up one time or other but he did give us a break a couple of times.
I wish I had a picture of the look on my buddy's face. he rode that bike for 4 miles at 115mph with the cop chasing him and never looked back. lol

When the bike was finally broken in, a 1980 KZ750 LTD, one summer night I opened her up to see what she could do, I got her going 220 KPH and still had throttle to spare, I had to slow down as my front tire started to come off the ground and the handlebar felt really light and loose, I managed to put the front tire down straight and continued on in my lane and slowed the bike down to 110 KPH, at that speed of 220KPH if my front tire was off a little coming down, I would have changed a lane or two and no control of the bike.. Now in my old age tops my bike sees on the freeway is 130 KPH. .
I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.
