Thanks btchalice, looks pretty nice and I even found a review by some guy. He was impressed, gave it an 8 out of 10! Price is great, here is his review...

I agree with Apeman. I bought the exact same one a few months ago and it is already showing considerable wear. The vents broke early on and the strap isn't terribly snug. I will buy a new better helment this winter. I do like the modular style though. Makes putting glasses on much easier and it is nice to flip up at a stop light when it is 90+ degrees. It is also nice when you are just cruising down a country road at 20-30 MPH to flip it up. On a bright note, they had a color which almost exactly matched my bike - for what that is worth.

I wear 3/4's because of the glasses problem and because the full helmets are just so hot when it's 100 degrees outside, but how much real world difference in safety is between the two?

(I'm looking for a full face for this winter, by the way. Those modulars look great for ease of entry.)

Here's a comparison (although a little dated) of several modular helmets:

Also, here's some general DOT helmet test info:

My impressions of the helmets I have bought in the last couple of years.

Nolan N41: 3/4 helmet, fairly comfortable except for one hard spot that hit me on the top forehead. My brother likes it though, so maybe it's just my head.

Shoei RF900: The absolute best fit and finish I have experienced, but I have to take my glasses off to put the helmet on or take it off.

AGV full faced helmet: Not impressed with this one, not comfortable and not very well made.

HJC CL Max: Modular helmet, nice fit and finish (it's no Shoei though), my favorite helmet for general riding. I ride around town with the front flipped up for the airflow when it's hot, no noticeable drag even at 65 mph (sometimes I forget to flip it down).
GPzInfested is wearing his HJC CL Max in the pics of him on his Turbo that I posted, we bought two of the HJC helmets at Mid Ohio for $119 each.

My seven year old girl loves her Shoei helmet, but now she wants a CL Max :D
