OMG thats awesome ! That's an inspiration
Just goes to show how well made these old bike are. Look after them, change the oil regularly and do the usual maintenance and they will keep going and going.
PS - that ltd looks great.

Looks great. I see I turned 100,000 on the old KZ650 in Sept 1989. Been a long, long time ago now.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Thank you all for the comments. The best part is that it runs even better than it looks. I ran it up over 105 mph (calculated, based upon the tach and my sprocket ratios)for a second or two Saturday on the way home from taking those pictures.
I only wish I had it from new. I picked it up as an abandoned bike in someone's backyard. At that point it had just over 80,000 miles on it. Based upon the information I obtained from the DMV, I have reason to believe the mileage is reasonably accurate, but I have no idea if the engine has been rebuilt, or never apart. When it gets tired, I will open it up and maybe solve that mystery. That's not likely to be anytime soon.
At the end of the day today I am at about 99,935 miles -- just 65 more to go. Rain is expected for this week, so it is hard to say if I will hit the big number before Christmas. When I do you will all hear about it.

Way to go, Apeman !!! You are just confirming that these KZ's are tough bikes, given the merest smidgen of maintenance. Of course, I'm sure yours had more than a smidgen.....but you get my drift, I'm sure.
I wonder how long my 650 will go, now that IT'S getting proper maintenance and exercise ??......

It's exciting! I know Ron knows how you feel. Maybe others too.
I've got a picture of when mine rolled 50 000.
Had to stop and take a picture of that one. That was over 15 years ago.
I'm only a 65 000 or so now. I've been a little slow.

Thanks for sharing, apeman. I, for one, find this kind of stuff encouraging, as mentioned in my earlier post.
You have a real piece of history there. There are VERY few folks who can say that they have a bike from the 70's that has gone 100K miles.

Congrats on the 100K mark! Here's wishing you see that happen many more times! I hope I can get to the 100K mark on my KZ1100 when I get it on the road(it has just under 22K now). I currently ride over 1K a week on my 90 Honda PC-800 and remember the thrill of watching the odometer roll over. I have almost 180K on it now so it won't be long before I get to watch it roll again on that bike. I'm really excited and looking forward to trying to do that on a KZ! If I do, I hope It looks half as good as yours does.
