Did you have to clean up those side covers at all?

I've got a set that are in serious need of some cosmetic beautification..but I don't really know how to proceed. Would sanding/priming/painting be enough?

I like the flat black side covers a lot.

Hay pyxen I started with 200 paper and finished off with 600 but the flat black paint is really forgiving and thank god because I am no painter.

It is stunning how good this is coming out with the common-sense techniques that you are using. Outstanding work, I'm impressed!

And: you are the McGiver of the motorcycle world with all those conversions (sand-blast cabinet, trailer, etc...)

:woohoo: Bravo!
Admission: I don't really like 'builds' when the stock parts are used...but in this case I have to throw that norm out the window: this is a great project and I'm enjoying watching it happen. Keep them pics comin'!
