I've got more pictures if anyone is insterested....I was off on the engine number (It is 317, not 338). I think that is better being closer to the VIN number.

Ooooookay.

If you've got a clean title to go with that number, you done good already.

Running is a plus.

Having the original green tank is a plus - better shape = better plus.

Tough to tell the condition of associated parts - side covers, instruments, ducktail, etc from the pics, obviously.

The shocks are shot - NBD (No Big Deal)

The bars are scrap - NBD.

Impossible to tell the condition of the motor internals, but based on the external view, probably needs fair to middlin' or better TLC.

Now I have to figure out what to do with this bike....Restoration? Tune it up and ride the "Beep" out of it? Sell it and put an addition on the garage (hahahaha).

A serious restoration is gonna cost BIG bucks.

Ride the "Beep" out of it? It's yours, do what you want - but don't be surprised if a fairly long list of afficianados would prefer if somebody else rode the "Beep" out of it while the other end of about 100 feet of #6 polypropylene line was tied to your ankle on one end and the swingarm on the other...

If you play your cards right, you might just be able to move it to a good home, add on to the garage AND pick up another bike to ride the "Beep" out of...

Even in that condition - with that VIN and a clean title, she's worth some interesting pesos.

Don't let anyone horseshit you.

If I really wanted to get a TON of messages, I could just put a "FOR SALE" sign on the bike on the website and see what comes up!

Don't be surprised if I do put it up...I just need to figure out what I really want for it!

Thank you everyone for the info and advice!

Yes...I'm picking your brains...but just for info! I'm still in shock that the bike is sitting in my garage. When I worked the trade, I thought I was getting a 1975 or 1976 KZ900 (still a nice bike, but not a Z1!).

I'm trying not to show my wife any of this....she would have me put it for sale tonight on Ebay and try and grab the cash as fast as possible!

Picking your brains has helped....If I do decide to sell, I don't want to get screwed (And...now that I know if "may" be special, I would like to see if go to the right person!).

Who knows...the right cash + trade offer could take it...

Ain't I the devil!
