YES! Another part that was promptly removed as being useless/excess weight. I always thought they looked like a cigarette lighter.

Good news, After a couple short painless emails I received an electronic voucher for $70 at Sears.com to replace the torque wrench. All it took was a few photos and a description of the reason for the warranty claim. They asked for proof of purchase. Of course that is long gone so my reply to that question was "I have the item in my possession and I'm not in jail, i guess that's my proof of purchase."

Calipers built. Maybe a little shinnyer then should be I cheated some and dressed them up for the photo shoot with a little lemon pledge.

Thank you HRM. No they are VHT Caliper paint that has cured several months. Mounting brackets are Powder coated.

I had my Z1B ones powder coated, but a purist would frown. So far so good...no chips or flakes.

Your Z’s are different. But your ‘80 should have the same bracket that mounts the caliper and aslo retains pad A. Well I messed up when shipping to powder coat and the ID of the hole for the pad got coated. It reduced the clearance and the pad would not fit. I found out how tough that powder coating is trying to remove it. So I don’t think you going to get any chipping.

Same thing happened with mine....had to use a grinder to open the hole back out again..

I stand corrected, thank you. I just looked through the Z manual, they do have a similar configuration with the bracket retaining pad A.

OUCH Matt! Powdercoat is tough!!!, nothing a 1/4" air grinder and some barrel sand rolls at 20,000 rpm's can't handle!
My Guy over the years, liked me! I always took him everything cleaned and glass beaded. I put screws in any threads.
Plus he gave me some off the 400° tape that I would tape off stuff I did not want covered. He pre-baked low heat to get moisture out, Then did it to it! I always wanted to start with the Eastwood Kit, I had an electric oven I stripped, but never followed through.
But! MAN you are getting SERIOUS on your restoration!!!! EXCELLENT JOB SO FAR!!!!!

It's going to be very nice! I don't recall any paint details? Hope your going to match OEM! Brown or Green?
If you knew the stuff I threw out and gave away, late 80's and into the 90's! Plus I scored big time in the early 2000's when I started eBay selling! I helped a lot of guys with parts all over the world, mostly Australia.

YES! Mike. Everyone took them off! In the early 2000's, I used to get over a $100 dollars selling the switch and same for the annoying whimpy buzzer/beeper.
