Now that I have the mounting hardware straightened out for the rear master cylinder, it is clear my eyeball measurement of the linkage lining up wasn't too good. I will have to lengthen the brake lever to center the linkage. Back to the weld bench for this part.

It needed about 3/8" to line up better. Being a brake part the weld penetration is critical for the strength. I ground heavy chamfers on all weld edges to get the penetration. I will grind the edges parallel after welding.

Exactly... once painted you won't be able to tell it was modified. So now my Frankenbike is part '81 KZ750, part '06 CBR600RR, and part '03 ZX-6. (and counting, 'cause it ain't over yet!)

The ZX-6 master uses a different diameter reservoir line than the aftermarket unit I had on there. So I end up needing to use the reservoir that came on the ZX-6. Started test fitting it and found the adapter bracket I made wasn't needed any longer. This reservoir, like the m/c, came with half of it painted black with spray paint, along with it's black cap. After cleaning it, it is quite yellow and discolored. But it looks better than it did.

Make sure your side cover still fits. You could try the hair product the asphalt900 said will whiten yellow plastic. He said cover it with Salon care 40, and place it in a ziplock and marinate. I saw were some let it sit in the sun, the UV rays help.

Plenty of clearance with the side cover.

I picked up some low profile ss screws for the muffler mount. This gave me just over 1/8" more clearance with the swing arm brace.

I decided I wanted to see how it will look when finished, so I put the carbs, pod filters, sides covers, tank, and seat on. I have had an image in my mind for the look I was after. This did not disappoint!!! Me likey!!!!
