The new shocks arrived this morning. Down to the crankcase vent (waiting for hose to arrive), and the drain tubes for the float bowls. Then on to the DMV.

Awesome!
I think a set of square number plates on the side of the back half of the seat would really look appropriate.

Haha, nice doggy..!!! I worked out how to fit the catch tank, I'm going to try and mount the battery trey sideways, if it works there's plenty of room....

The earliest DMV appointment was a month out. That puts it in non-riding weather where I am. I was hoping to have it broken in before I had to put it away this season. I may have to just show up and wait it out instead of wait for the appointment! I don't care what country you live in - getting it legal sucks! The local forecast has a chance for our first snow tomorrow. Come on, Spring!!!

Great transformation. Nice shop. I've always wanted a baja bug. Maybe someday...
You have to make an appointment just to register a vehicle? A month in advance? Government sucks.

Why not hide it under the tail, it would look much cleaner that way ?

I had considered that, but if enough oil fumes accumulate it could cause drips. I would rather that hit the ground rather than inside the tail or on the rear tire. Trade off with getting it far enough away. Still not 100% on keeping it there, but we'll see.
