I did the permatex seal last night and tried it again today... Same as always.

Yeah so really stuck now idk where to go from.here the idle is really high hard to tell exact what it is because I don't have an rpm gauge on it yet, one is on the way.. but it just idles high! No vacuum leaks detected at the boots or the vacuum ports on the front of the carbs.

Check the ignition advance mechanism. They can get stuck with neglect.

Guess that why dragsters and race cars run open exaust and high volume air inlets
