I love getting packages in the mail!! Set of standard cams that a mate of mine picked up in the US for me. I have another box sitting in New Zealand customs at the moment from Redline and there is some gooooood stuff in that one. Can't wait!

Sortof, it's a Falcon Panelvan from the very last run off the product line. The end of an era!

You wouldn't believe it but after nearly a year of sitting on my work bench the Z1R finally has front calipers!!! Not only that but the rear caliper is fitted too!

I also scored a full stand handle a few months back from a friend of mine so that's gone on too. Yes, I know I don't have a centre stand.....but it is shiny and fills the spot which would look a bit empty without it.

These are the notes that came back from the guy that rebuilt the bottom end for me. I have put them with the pile of bits n bobs that will be this bikes build and history. Cool keeping all these things I reckon.

Oh yeah baby!!! Got a wee package from Redline Cycles today. New Zealand customs totally sucked and held onto it for two weeks but finally it's here. Pistons, valves, guides, etc for the top end rebuild. Also got a new loom, new switch gear, and even a new set of tank badges. Nice! Progress here we come!

Okay, into getting this motor finished! Head and block need blasting to start with. The really annoying part is my blasting cabinet completely shit itself when the rusty bottom dropped out. Not to be deterred I had an ephinay in the middle of the night and this is it.............

The kids tent has become my temporary blasting cabinet lol! Got the job done though!

Also have a broken fin that needs sorting. I have a spare head that is knackered which is going to donate a section of fin for my good head. I shaped the new section to fit and will drop it all off in the morning to a mate to get it welded up.

No worries at all. The colour is Havasu Blue as used on early Honda cars. I have asked my friend that painted it for me to look up the code and will let you know once I hear back from him. I have since had my tank up against an original Z1R and it is nearly spot on for a match.
