They do until they get older. The key gets loose in the switch and they fall out. It happened twice in one day to my neighbor. He didn't go far, I found them once and he and his buddies looked for hours the second time. Lucky for him it isn't registered. He would have never found them on Dillon road.
He doesn't seem to have it now. It was a Vulcan. Guess he backed out of that deal too. .

Mounted the front lights, pretty easy. Made standoffs using 1/2" tubing and ran the bolt from inside the headlight and through the standoff and threaded into the turn signal. Rear I'd gonna take some work due to needing a bracket welded up etc. Although mounting will be similar with a standoff.

Everything redone to let me put a stock airbox back in ... I'm tired of trying to deal with tuning a Pod setup.

Really pissed off at Z1 enterprises right now. 2 close to two weeks and my order of jets and some other small parts is still not shipped.

Took rear fender off cos the front mount was on the old battery box. I like this look haha may just seal off the electronics with a plate against the hoop

Well, we're almost down to the final stretch. Licence plate bracket made; the bolts will have the lights in them and the wiring will be routed inside the tubing (see vid for a glimpse). Also got her running; a little rich due to the airbox being put back in with the 40 sized pilots...

Well it looks like I need to, at minimum, pull the heads. Now, since I can actually run the bike for longer and ride around the neighborhood, I've been noticing a lot of smoke due to oil burning off from the head/cylinder area. Initially I assumed it was just residue from when I had the valve cover off/etc., but now looking closer, I can see oil seeping out of the head gasket as the engine's running due to the cylinder pressure. So since it's oil, it'll need the head gone over too for possible bad valve seals/guides. ugh .. if I have the heads off, may as well go through the next step and check the rings/etc. <--- see where I'm going here? haha, it's gonna be a long winter.

Yes indeed. No front fender? Maybe one of these would help. :woohoo: Ed

Haha the fender I have is the Police fender and is huge and flared. Need to mount it and cut it down to match the rest of the bike.

Rode around in a light drizzle and I had to ride straight like I was constantly taking a turn ... hahaba

It is amazing how even a little water will end up spraying in the rider's face. I had no fender on my BSA for a couple weeks but decided to put one back on. Ed
