Yes it began its career as a 77 kz1000ltd,you can tell its an ltd frame by the rear footpeg brackets are tubing instead of the stamped brackets used on the regular 77-78 kz1000 A series bikes.
Swingarm is stock length, somebody just had it plated.

My title says KZ1000P. Yes it does have two front brake rotors. So is this a good model? Better than if it were a police?

Does the vin number on your title match the vin number on steering head?
The letter B in the vin number on steering head makes it an ltd series bike along with many of the parts I see including the frame and wheels.
I wonder if the police in youre area used ltd series bikes with their equipment added to them,I would think a police bike would have a P instead of an A for regular kz or a B for an ltd bike

Are the numbers on title same as number on frame other than the P and B?

Not a P model or police....I am not a guy that knows a bunch about the different bike models....but I think the LTD was loaded with goodies....one being dual disk front....you did good dont worry. The good thing is you now know 100% what you own...so when getting parts you know they will fit.

When you register it make sure they note the differance with the letters so you dont have headaches down the road.
As far as parts everything can be made to work between the 2 other than maybe a couple wheel spacers which are dependent between wire or mad wheels
