you want to source a chain drive version of your engine to source the parts from.

I presume your 79 is a kick start equipped ST engine so the chain output shaft from any z900 or 1000 of the same type kicker motor will do the job.
The transmission cover needs to be from a MK2 engine though as the bolt pattern is different earlier engines.
