Hmmmm... Possibly closer than I think. The month is shot with work and all of this will have to wait till later. I'm planning a couple of weeks off n October and prepping my managers/team I will not be answering email.

Thanks Derek for the note. Well see what comes of this. Probably should have looked at this before fixing this case. But hind sight is 20/20.

Been away for a while. Real busy at work and getting ready for a seperation from my wife. So I'll try not to be a stranger. Have yet to spend much time on the bike. Still need to do the valve adjustment and she will be good to go for a while.

Been a long time. I had to sideline the bike for several years. Getting back on track. Still have the valve adjustment to take care of. Probably a new battery is in order around then as well now. :)

Have a Subaru Motor rebuild in the way at the moment.

Happy New Year 2015 KZ Riders! Will try to check in more often in the future.

Always good to see a bike coming back. But I can't quite make out what that last photo is.

Underside of gas cap? Yikes!

Yes. There was about a gallon of liquid in the tank. The cap was furry and the fur was creeping back into the tank. Putrid is the best word I can muster about the oder of the "liquid" that came out of the tank. Nice to see your still active. Not many bikes get 9 lives. This one is on about #6 if I count the years since owning starting around 1988/89? Parts are on order to get the tank back together and lid for now was cleaned with an ultrasonic bath. New petcock will save me from headache. Lines were dry and I hope the bowls are clear when I pop them open. My worry is the carbs will need to be resealed due to lack of fuel contact. We shall see.

Well I gave it a spin yesterday. Using the RS smooth bores. The BS set is in need of cleanout, but I'll go there soon as possible. The RS getting it back on the road is great but they are a handful in town as I remembered. Also had to clip the petcock lever over an 1/8th inch and remember how the fuel line was routed. But it lit up, leaked from the bowls for a little then stopped and stayed clear after letting it sit for a few min. Chipping away 10 years of neglect, so need to do an Oil/filter change and nut and bolt check everything. Found my gloves eaten by rodents in the top of my tool condo. Guess I shouldn't have placed them on top of some dry corn cobs used for fall decoration. :pinch:

Looking for a good paint shop to color match a few items like a faring and side cover that was scratched up in a spill now 15 years ago.

Friends keep giving me shit for not upgrading to a new bike. I don't see the need but coming around. Funny part is I'm mostly only interested in the ZRX and there have been some nice examples going to market lately... Gahhhhh. I don't need another vehicle to maintain.

Well it happened. I'm a ZRX owner too.
I need to get this paint situation fixed on the KZ. ZRX faring needs replacement or major repair. Who knows what mung they schmoozed on there.
Other than being sick for a few weeks. No not Covid.
Been riding not worrying about esthetics. Have some works going on with the ZRX already cleaning it up.
This one sat outside for a little bit. Powder parts are ready to pickup Monday.
Also cancelling an order I just placed for a KZ tire, ordered the wrong size. Doh!
No wonder it was so cheap. LOL

LOL I am hearing both items mentioned over on ZRXOA. Another good forum of enthusiasts. Gonna go air out the KZ for a little while today. Need to get out of the damn house for a min.
