so to lower the bike you took the shocks off and used custom struts? did you weld them on?

what other options does a guys like me have to lower my bike that doesn't know how to weld . . . ?

Nope, no welding involved at all. I cut square tubing to the length i wanted and bolted it were the stock springs went. For the tubing, i took the shock into the store and matched it up to the square tubing.

Ya, it's as easy as that. With the struts the ride is only for the fate of heart, and your kidney's take a beating.......along with your whole body.

Ok i have some progress to report. After getting dicked around from a place on the internet, i finally bought a cheap chain off e-bay for 32 bucks shipped. So hopefully it will be here tuesday or wedsday so i can finally ride it.....lol.

O, some more pics for you pics junkies here on kzr. I got my new chain in the mail today, i put it on. I figured out my seat, i cut it in half, made some releif cuts and bent the back up. Now i just have to figure out how to mount it. I think im gonna use the stock mounting loop. Im still debating on not running a rear fender, since it will be a nice weather ride. So here are some pics.

Looking cool. I miss my KZ400:blush:
If you remove the fender where will you put your lights?
I'd think about getting one of those Harley solo seats with the springs built in.

Thanks JohNLA, either way, im going to male a custom side mount for the light and plate, that will be bolted off the right side strut.
