Now comes the fun....The zrx swing arm is to wide by .080.to fit the kz frame.Had to grind off the bungs .040 per side to fit the arm,and another .030 per side for the rubber cups to cover the bearings.

The rear shock mounts are going to get moved forward, stand up to tall for what I want, some S1 rear sets are being made, need to find an old school black kerker for it might have to go new from supertrapp,a lot of my used drag motor parts are in the motor..pistons,cams..hot set up nothing wild.Got to get the carbs of to mukini for a slide re-build(RS flats 32's)..they won't sell you parts due to liability issues so they say.All thats left is to figure out the sprocket offset for a 530 chain and mill the clutch cover to clear it.Final paint will be stock black with the gold strips....I do all this for the love of a kz,been riding one since 79..still got others to work on also the drag bikes now that the season is starting,my zrx(yeah I belong to that board also) and the 97dyna ..thats my 2 up and when they ride on that they have to be cling on's...Then when I'm done with this one I have an 81 J model I picked up for 200 that runs but ruff lookin..I'll post more as I do...Z

Right on Chris!
That's a lot of good info.
So You made the gauge bracket out of aluminum?...that's exactly what i have in mind for Mine, and I have the material here.
Why did You have to have it welded...for a cleaner look?
Could You possibly get some pics of that bracket posted...I'd love to see how it turned out,and the overall shape of it.
I got a set of headlight brackets from ilDuce a while ago,so I'm good in that department.
Lookin GREAT,Bud!:woohoo:

The only problem with them is the don't like to answer e-mails or return calls.I had to get a second front rim from them, who ever peeled the tire off aped it off and put a slight bend in it....they did send another free of charge though..Nice gpz you got there ..Excellent work!
