I used spacers (8mm one side, 10mm the other - 1" bicycle headset spacers) and bought an Acewell electronic speedo/tach.
Did you use the Zx speedo drive? Or did you just skip it and make a spacer? Looks good, though.

Solomrus, I've been following your project and it's looking great. Makes me wonder if maybe I should have just gone with an entire swingarm/wheel combo off a later bike rather than trying to persude this wheel into the old swingarm.
I'm using late Buell X1 headlight brackets. There are 2 types, the kind I am using which are just stamped/folded steel with integral flyscreen brackets (which didn't fit the Cyclone screen!). The others are fabricated/welded steel that look much neater and lighter, the screen brackets bolt on to them. They're 54mm, earlier Buells such as the Cyclone used 43mm brackets. Got mine off ebay quite cheap.

Dude, that's hawt! The wheels are a bit of an eye gouge, have you thought about stripping and polishing them?

I suppose he´s gonna paint them wheels... Sure that firecracker red and the Kaw green are colors that definitely don´t like each other!
Thumbs up to your project so far, I dig that windscreen A LOT!

At first, I was going to paint the wheels black but the green has grown on me and I really like it! I'm considering repainting the body work the same satin black as the front fender with a stock sticker/stripe kit. Main concern now is getting the final machining done and get it on the road and sorted out, paint later.

I love your bike! Satin black with Kaw green...hmmm...brilliant! What if you integrate the green into the graphics...like (just a suggestion) a small green stripe between the big stripes on the tank, like the gold that is between the blue and white on a Lawson?
That would complement the green wheels if you kept them totally green...just a thought.
Anyway, more to the point: excellent job on this machine!
