Davo, looks good. I'm working on my GPZ seat now trying to get more of a cafe look. Are you staying in the Tulsa area? I'm trying to find other KZs to ride around with and get ideas from. Riding with my GXRer fried isn't a whole lot of fun since he just likes to ride wheelies around me the whole time. At like 80.

Yeah I will be in Jenks but still riding Tulsa streets this spring when the bike is ready. There's another member here (skeeb57) who lives in the Tulsa area also, he has a 650 also. That makes three, maybe some more will pop up and we can have an okie-gathering! I've seen a few other older kaws around town, maybe when I get my bike out on the streets I'll find a few more.

Okay the above pic is the latest now that I finally got another digital camera. It still needs coils since I buggered my old set and I am getting some fork covers soon also to finish up the look. The tail light ened up being tucked too far under the tail so I need to bring it out some so people can actually see it and then I should be set to ride, but first have to get the tag updated. Almost done.

That's pretty cool - Hows the reach with the clubmans? It looks kinda far.

Are you going to look into some new rearsets?

I set it up for a further reach (I'm 6'3 so I need to stretch out a little) and the seat lets me scoot all the way back. I don't like being so close to the tank because at my size it feels and looks a little awkward. For me the clubmans work out great (a lot better than the drag bars).

I mocked up some rearsets but I can't do them because they would require that I sit more forward than I like to to but I am looking at lowering the pegs and shifter (a lot cheaper/easier that making rearsets) but I really can't do that much without it becoming a ground clearance issue. we'll see.

Thanks for the comments!

Okay I have only a few more things to do and then I'm ready for the road. I got a set of ebayed accel coils last night and need to hook them up as well as get the carbs and pods back on and then fill er up with gas and give it a test run.

Last night I shined up the engine a bit, touched up the paint, fixed up the helmet and did a few more things and now she's looking pretty good. I ditched the chin scoop because it wouldn't fit, I need a different one, but I'll probably just go without one this season.

Tonight I can hopefully get it done and I planned on driving it down to Texas this weekend (in my truck, not the bike) to get it titled, but the weather says rain so it might have to wait, which is good since I should probably get some new tires on it this weekend anyways here.

Here are some shots.

That looks *awesome* man!! :woohoo:

I love the chrome trim. I was told by a guy to look into it, but I thought it'd look goofy..it definitely doesn't.

I think the metal bucket idea is wicked too - its cool how everyday things work well on these old bikes.

I like the 2nd pic above - from the rear. B)

My only word of caution is about that helmet.. are you sure it's still good? I personally wouldn't trust my noggin' to a $6 helmet.. but it's not my noggin', so it's 100% up to you!
