great to be here. just saying hello. just grabbed a '78 kz650 D1A SR. got it from the original owner. just over 5k.
just started to resurrect. hasn't been started since 1984. I'll be on the tech page a lot!!!!

thanks guys. carbs are rebuilt. gonna try and fire her up tomorrow. awesome cold compression 170 170 170 165
had to change the coils. we'll see what happens. everything including the radio works!!!!! feel lucky to have gotten her.

Personally, I like the old Vetter fairings. They are not the most stylish option and they weigh as much as a small Toyota, but they work surprisingly well. That Aero looks pretty similar to the Vetter, but appears to have better ventilation and I bet it weighs several hundred pounds less. It might make for a pretty fabulous classic touring rig.
