As much as I hate chrome I say...chrome. The tank will balance with the tail section. The wheels balance each other out. But the swingarm is polished so to make it look a little balanced the headlight needs to be shiny.

Chrome skuffed with scotchbright is all ways my pick, but my bike is not nearly as fancy as yours!

"black with a chrome rim"... I was thinking this myself but wasn't sure.

The chrome looks good but it's just not right for some reason in person. It works but it doesn't is the only way to describe.

There already is a lot of orange and I'm thinking it may be too much. I'm feeling it may be the same as the chrome where it's just not right.

Gloss black as in the top of the tank with chrome bezel.
I think that will work out nicely...

Thanks guys,

Black with chrome rim would to my eye pay further homage to the original Z1 color scheme, which this bike already so beautifully accomplishes.

FWIW, if it makes any difference, am thinking the original Z1 headlight body is more of a satin black finish rather than gloss.

Anxious to see the final result. :cheer:

Thanks for sharing, and Good Luck! :)

Orange.....it will flow with all the body parts from a side view. Maybe add a black stripe on top to match the tank two tone scheme?

Although, the way that paintwork looks, you won't be wrong no matter how you go. The bike looks awsome!
