@ Koolryder... "fat orange stripe " as in phat assed as in your avatar? Sorry couldn't resist...

OMR hopes that image isn't his GF or wifey...

As for the color themes, thanks guys I do appreciate the ideas.

Obviously the chrome just isn't cutting it. Solid burnt orange HL, I think would be too much orange on the bike but I hadn't thought nor have I counted out the idea of orange with blick rim or stripping... B)

For now, I scuffed the chrome, adhesion promoter, etched primer and shot gloss black to match the tank top. Letting it sit a couple of days to cure then I'll wet sand and shoot a 2 part clear coat. Leaving the bezel rim chromed... I believe this will be the winner...

Same time, if it just doesn't work, then I'll re-do with the orange combinations.... Don't you just love paint for it's easy to just do over...:S

Thanks again all, I'll post images when it's completed and installed on the bike.

Chrome scuffed with scotchbrite as per Zombie would balance out the swingarm nicely. Otherwise, orange with a black chrome/gloss black rim would be how I would do it. Good luck, it's gonna look pretty no matter.

Black with Chrome Rim was the winner!!!

Same as tank Dupli-Color spray can gloss black with 2 part clear coat. Wet sand in between paint and clear coats with 1 week flash/cure time. Then wet sand clear coat and buff out with rubbing compound.

You'll also note an addition where I replaced the front brake distribution and brake switch... I found a new item at JP cycles where the switch is in the banjo bolt that is attached to the master cylinder....

Thanks...

Still a ways to go yet...

I'm just getting all the other stuff done while saving some funds for the head work I want accomplished. I could put on the head as is and start her up but why.... I've waited this long (started project last November) so another couple months or so should be a breeze.

BTW, this is killing me for there has been many times I've been tempted to do that... but talked myself out of it.

I have a running project going that I update regularly.

Do a search function for I learned a whole slew of things to think about from the other members... Review Mark1122 project for he provided several issues I just didn't think about...

Follow the link for my rear swing arm and front fork conversions...

The chrome headlight - It is balancing (as someone mentioned)

- OH, and the shadow from the bricks is missing on the second picture.

Sorry, thought it was one of those bar games...
