Steve, I tried to copy a link on eBay but couldn't. Bay Listing # 152008460425 . It's a Billet Reproduction Generator made in Ca. that's priced a lot lest than OEM.
Just type in the Part # 21007-1004. Any input on these ?

I checked it out but I didn't see any magnets in them. Better call to be sure it's not a scam. I was wrong about the pin. It is 6mm. I measured a #6 bolt and it reads 5.87.

Steve, Received my Starter Clutch, Rotor, and Starter Gear assembly yesterday. Kit pretty complete, minus damper but nice especially the generator/rotor. No cracks and real solid. So was happy about that.

Question, I have the 3 Allen Head Bolts that came with this kit are that are in nice shape and not like the original ones that I had that backed off the clutch and wore down the heads of the bolts. Should I re-use these better bolts? I was able to find new ones at Ace Hardware that were the right size and length. On the head of these purchased bolts, they read 12.9 just like the kawasaki original ones that read the same.

Some members are saying to use Grade 8 but don't know if the ones I have are that? Or does it matter? I'm not sure whether to use Red-Loctite or Blue-Loctite in fearing the potential of them loosening again might be there?

And this starter clutch kit did come with the locating 6mm dowel pin so that was a good thing even though I did make a make shift one.

That's why I asked. I'd like to see the new bolts. # 8 bolts are right. U used the blue lock tight and they were loose when I took it back off.

Steve, These New Allen Head Bolts are "exactly" like the stock KZ bolts. Are you saying to use Red Loctite ? Have to find the Torque Values of them ?

Looked up these bolts and the 12.9 on the head of them means grade 12.9 which again is what the Factory has. So I'm confident that they are strong enough. Which gets back to which loctite to use and torque .

Yes, use the red and the bolts. Torque if you like. I impact mine with a hand driver.

24-27 Ft. Lbs. and a Non-Permanent locking agent. This is what the FSM says.
