Yeah 3 old kz's whoopin up on the new bikes is gonna be fun-- I am hoping i don't have to rob any parts off mine to build the new dragbike but that will depend on the money. The look on the busa guys faces when they get drug by a kz is priceless-- I love it! Let me know if you need anything to get that baby done so we cna have all 3 there by norwalk.

With a very very good rider and some mods an '08 can run 9.30s.

But a completely stock '08 runs 10.0s with an average 200lb rider and runs 9.70s with a smaller very good rider.

I made some of my bracing pieces recently. I used the PMC and Kosman kits as the foundations but eliminated some of the braces that were meant for bikes with twin shocks. I still need to make a few of the plates for around the steering neck and the two underneath the rear of the tank where the three backbone tubes meet.

I'll be adding a couple braces for the mono-shock mounting points (represented by the masking tape in the pics). The upper brace will be 1"x2"x0.12" rectangular tubing and the bottom brace will be 1.125x0.125" round tubing.

I found a guy who had a drawing for the stock Gsxr suspension geometry so I made some metal templates out of 1/16" steel with the holes in the right spots. I was going to use the stock centerstand brackets like Klasmo does for their bolt on mono-shock kits but the bottom linkage didn't line up so I made some brackets that have the same shape as the center stand brackets to weld on when I put the lower brace in.

The upper shock mount tabs are a work in progress. I intentionally made them too long/so when I have the new cross brace in I can trim them to size. The upper and lower tabs are 1/4" steel.

I'll figure out dog bone length later on when I have everything tacked together.

I also should be recieving the MIG I ordered this week sometime so I can tack everything together. Before final welding I have to weld on side cover D-zus tabs, figure out all the tabs needed for the electronics etc., passenger peg mounts, have a new rear subframe bent for my extended tail, etc. etc. etc.

I think that's about it for now.
