Can you believe the after fact??
or is it a HOAX?
Cycledrags reporting that Mecum canceled the buyer’s bid due to the frame neck numbers are skeptical!
I don’t get this one???
all that time, work, so-called documentation??
someone out of the hundreds of lookers had to see this!
I can stamp better neck #’s than that.

anyone have any updates??

Where did you see the frame number photo? Didn't notice it in the sale photos. If Mecum's is reporting the engine numbers correctly, then I would question the engine numbers as they report 6 digits after the Z2E...there should only be 5 digits...there is an extra leading '0'.

I didn't see that photo either, but I did see what looks like a bent kick starter ?

Ya Marty I seen that too. Seems that should have been caught well before auction time.

So, I checked my Z2A and it does have 6 digits for the numerical portion of the engine and I was in error in my earlier post...the cycledrag video does appear to show a tampered frame number...that takes the bottom out of the value of that Z2A...and the kickstarter does appear to have an odd angle to it...maybe it was just perspective, or maybe not.

I guess maybe the bragging is about how much they paid, more than what they bought.  If they don't recognize it for what it is or isn't, the friends they're trying to impress probably don't either.
