Paint codes for 74 to 76 z1 900

I just picked up a old 900 and the paint is terrible. I know a guy that will paint it for me but he uses PPG paint. Does anybody know the paint codes for any of the years? I would scan what I have but somebody painted it some screwed up color. I want it back stock color. Thanks

There are no codes for older Kawasaki paints. Email Ralph at www.paintworkz.com and he can sell you the paint to match early schemes. His matching is probably the best in North America.

+1 - the guy has it down. There are a couple others here that will paint to be similar/match, but he's the only one I've seen offer the paint for sale.

Send Paintworks your parts. There's a process, it's not just base/clear.

Last time I talked to the paintwork guy he was not taking any new jobs and sounded like he was getting out of it?

Sell your old stuff and take that money and the money you were going to use to paint it and buy the reproduction stuff.

My Z1B was faded pretty bad, flaking clear coat. I masked off the original stripes and repainted the blue using Duplicolor. Not 'exact' obviously, but keeping the scheme it still looks good.
I want to repaint it the original color (since the bike is 95% original) but can't afford $1000 in materials right now.
