I just grabbed a can of the Threebond tire repair foam,to have on hand for obvious reasons. The Warden and I are heading out for a 4 day venture(approx 500 miles)and although I know HOW to use this stuff...just wondering Who else has ever used it,and what were the results?
How far did You ride after using it,before You got it fixed properly, etc.?
This stuff is for both tube/tubeless tires btw.(I have tubes in Mine)
Were going to meet John(aka Oldcoldankles) and I'd really hate to have to leave My bike with Him,and have to drive His 89 Vette home.

personaly, ive never used it, but I know a guy who has, it works, but it leaves a bad sticky resadue inside the tire, so when you go to change it, it is really slimy, plus it makes your tire unbalanced, so use with caution.

A couple of motorcycle tire irons and a patch kit are a much better idea in my opinion. But if I had to patch the tube in a front tire I would ride very slowly to a place where I could get a new tube, guess I'll never forget having the asphalt (and the skin) shaved off at the hospital after the front tire blowout :D

The foam will get you home in a pinch but it will throw your tire off balance... way off balance and the residue is a mess to clean up later.

No need to bring that stuff Sandy, if it happens just phone me and we'll load your bike out of a ditch into my pickup. Don't think the foam was ever intended to repair burnouts though:laugh:

Hey Sandy when you coming down? There is a big bike-car show at Silverwood this weekend. They even have a prize for the loudest exhaust! I'm cleaning up the bike today for it! :P
