front axle ends -threads uneven-moving?

i have reset my space/threads reveal to be even when i'm working on the wheel -tire-ect....and i notice it after a while that the axle has worked back to be recessed on the right side and poking out on the left a thread or so......in the blow up below the end nut spacers that clamp into the fork yoke keeps is labeled #1 -lower right of pic...they are the ones in question.....

anyone ever seen this rotation and movement and any ideas of the cause/fix.....

i don't remember my bikes back in the day doing this as a regular thing.....

they don't change enough to warrant right away re-setting ...but it is not a great feeling to see that the axle rod has threaded it's way too the left again..
also it seems to stay consistant once it scoots back over a tad out...

thanks craig

Absolutely, a must. And proper torque via manual.

This thing only has two wheels...

Cheers.

The rest of us cheapskates buy our blue Loctite at Harbor Freight tools. They sell it under their label for about $2 for three little bottles. It's exactly the same stuff.

i dont think the axle can physically fall out since the threads will bottem out before it goes too far,but its still nice to know all the parts on your bike are nice and tight! B)

yeah i guees lock tight is an obvious easy way to end the threads from heading out to the left/rotation of the axle.....i just wondered too if anyone has seen this /is it common /does it have anything to do with having my single disk on the left side / a bearing that bites for a flash under hard loads ect....
locktight on the next teardown for sure....the way the thing is running it'll be going onto the stand in december anyway......oh and plummen....please don't waste your nail polish....save it for saturday nights at the blue oyster.....and your open toe heels...

That's really odd. Once you tightend down the bottom clamps (gap at rear!) they (axle also) can't move. Would take apart and inspect the threads to make sure you have good thread depth. Once buttoned up there is no way it should even be able to move! :S
