yeah... want to keep the retro look of dual shocks.
Although I teeter with the idea of passenger pegs, i think I'm going to remove the supports for a cleaner look.
This one is "my" bike style... no room for company
KawiConvert - I don't think you could bend the brake pivot mount out of the way. This is the bolt mounting right near the pivot point welded to the main frame... not the passenger peg/exhaust mounts

Sorry, joking about the bending it out of the way. I assume if you are putting on a newer swingarm that you would also update the brakes to match.
Do the CBR swingarms work as well? Curious as I may decide to take my kz up another notch on the modifications. Gotta stay busy, if I keep working on it then I never have to ride it.

Two issues come to mind but pictures can be deceiving...
1) As BohicaBob mentioned, Pivot bolt hole looks huge in the GSXR... Not a big deal though for you just make an insert (spacer) pivot tube that fits the kawi pivot bolt.
This was required on my project as well... I believe everyone else had to do the same...
2) New/larger tooth count CC sprocket seems to be required.
Pivot tube decking area thickness (chain travel) between the two.
As for the lower passenger foot peg/muffler mount off the frame, cut that sonsabitch off and custom mount for foot pegs and muffler support mounting...

On this project, I will use the GSXR arm or another that has not shown up yet...
Will cut the supports, since the GS arm is not for this bike anymore.
Thought of making some sort of passenger peg mount... just in case i come across some hottie hitch-hiking
OH... BohicaBob, your image were an inspiration
they actually had me pick up the GS arm - I may put that on the 1075 (grey) bike.

On my '78 KZ1000 Stage III project bike, I will be fitting a '97 Suzuki Bandit 1200 swingarm. Got the PMC shock mounts to weld on plus I had a pal make me a spacer with an OD of 20 mm and an ID of 16 mm for the '78 KZ1000 swingarm pivot bolt.

What year is that GSXR 600 swingarm?
I was planning on doing a conversion soon and I was just curious.

I am getting busier and have not cut the frame out of the way at this time, but expect to accomplish this by end of next week. At that time I will work on my adaptation of the pivot. I'll be happy to share what I find out.
